What is Cetyl Betaine?
Cetyl Betaine, also known as Hexadecylbetaine, is a colorless to pale yellow solid with alkalinity. It is a surfactant with good degreasing, decontamination and emulsifying abilities, and can mix water and oil. It has good solubility and can be dissolved in water and many organic solvents. Hexadecylbetaine is widely used in industrial and household cleaners, such as laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, hand soap, toilet cleaner, etc. It can also be used as an emulsifier, defoamer, rust inhibitor and softener.
