Dichloromethane ch2cl2 uses
- Dichloromethane possesses the advantage of strong solvent power and is extensively used in the manufacture of safety motion picture film and polycarbonate. Other applications include serving as a solvent for coatings, a degreaser for metals, an aerosol propellant, a foaming agent for polyurethane, a mold release agent, and a paint stripper.
- It also serves as a solvent in film production, a petroleum dewaxing agent, an organic synthesis extractant, a foaming agent for polyurethane and other foam plastics, and a metal cleaner.
- It is employed for grain fumigation and as a refrigerant in low-pressure refrigeration and air conditioning systems. In polyether urethane foam production, it serves as an auxiliary blowing agent and is also used as a blowing agent for extruded polysulfone foam plastics.
