Dimethylacetamide, the full name is N,N-dimethylacetamide (chemical formula: CH3C(O)N(CH3)2 abbreviated as DMAC or DMA. A commonly used aprotic polar solvent. Colorless Transparent liquid, flammable.
It is an aprotic highly polar solvent, with a slight ammonia odor, strong solubility, a wide range of soluble chemicals, can be miscible with water, aromatic compounds, esters, ketones, alcohols, ethers, benzene and trichloromethane, etc. And can activate the compound molecules, so it is widely used as a solvent and catalyst.

Pharmaceutical Intermediates
N,N-Dimethylacetamide is a crucial pharmaceutical raw material widely used in the production of drugs such as amoxicillin and cephalosporins.
Polymer Synthesis
DMAC Chemical exhibits excellent solubility for various resins, particularly polyurethane and polyimide resins. It is primarily used as a solvent in heat-resistant synthetic fibers, plastic films, coatings, pharmaceuticals, and acrylonitrile spinning.
Organic Pigments
In organic pigment production, many facilities employ DMAC as a solvent.
Petrochemical Industry
Within petrochemical processes, DMAC serves as an excellent catalyst. It accelerates reactions such as cyclization, halogenation, cyanation, alkylation, and dehydrogenation while enhancing the yield of key products.
