Acriflavine Hydrochloride, also named Netherlands Acriflavine HCL, is an antiprotozoal drug. It works effectively against Babesia equi, Babesia nauplii, Babesia bovis, Babesia bovis and Babesia ovis. However, it shows no effect on Theileria and Anaplasma.

This substance appears as a reddish brown or orange - red crystalline powder. It is odorless and has a sour taste. It is easily soluble in water and soluble in ethanol, while it is almost insoluble in chloroform, ether, liquid paraffin or oil.
