Dichloromethane, an organic compound with the chemical formula CH₂Cl₂, is a colorless, transparent liquid with a pungent odor similar to ether. It is slightly soluble in water and soluble in ethanol and ether. Under normal conditions of use, it is a non-combustible, low-boiling-point solvent. However, when its vapor forms a high concentration in high-temperature air, it can generate a weakly combustible gas mixture. It is commonly used as a substitute for flammable petroleum ether, ether, and similar solvents.

Dichloromethane Solution uses
- Dichloromethane is used as a low-boiling-point solvent and is applied in the production of cellulose acetate film, aerosols, and antibiotics. It is also used as an extraction agent and metal cleaning agent.
- It serves as a raw material in the production of fungicides such as myclobutanil and is an excellent solvent for various applications.
- Dichloromethane Solution is widely used as an extraction solvent, for example in the extraction of caffeine from coffee beans and hops, and as a solvent for spice oleoresin extraction. It is also used as a pigment diluent.
- In addition, it is used as a solvent in the resin and plastics industries, and is widely applied in pharmaceutical, plastic, and film production. It is a solvent for cellulose acetate, fats and oils, and can also replace ether and petroleum ether in certain applications.
