Uses
Industrial cleaning: Light alkylate naphtha is used as a cleaning agent for metal processing and electronic components. It can replace toxic solvents such as trichloroethylene. It is also used to prepare anti-rust oil and paint thinners (such as alkyd resins and acrylic paints).
Consumer product manufacturing: used in aerosols (insecticides, polishes), lighter fluids and hand warmer fuels, taking advantage of its low odor and combustion stability.
Chemical raw materials: as a polymerization medium (such as a carrier for PVC viscosity reducers) and an indirect contact solvent for food packaging materials, in compliance with relevant safety standards.
Safety Information
Light alkylate naphtha is highly flammable and its vapor is explosive when mixed with air (explosive limit 1.1%–8.7%). Long-term inhalation or contact may cause cancer (GHS classification H350), genetic defects (H340), and swallowing may cause lung damage (H304). When handling, keep ventilation, wear protective equipment, avoid fire and oxidants. Store in a cool and dry place away from heat sources.
