4-Fluoro-2-iodoaniline is an important pharmaceutical intermediate that can be used to synthesize active pharmaceutical ingredients. For example, in a specific synthesis reaction, the methanesulfonate of (R)-glyceroacetone is used for N-alkylation and the chlorine is replaced by 4-fluoro-2-iodoaniline, followed by acid-catalyzed deprotection of the acetone functionality to obtain an active pharmaceutical ingredient with the desired polymorphic form.
In perovskite solar cells, it can improve the open circuit voltage, fill factor and power conversion efficiency of the cell, and enhance the environmental stability of the cell.
