Uses

 

The epoxy group of Allyl Glycidyl Ether can undergo a ring-opening reaction with active hydrogen species (such as hydroxyl and amine groups) in rubber, forming a three-dimensional cross-linked network that significantly enhances the mechanical properties of rubber. For example, in general-purpose rubbers like natural rubber (NR) and styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), Allyl Glycidyl Ether acts as a cross-linking agent to shorten vulcanization time and increase cross-linking density. In ethylene-propylene rubber (EPDM), its epoxy group works synergistically with peroxide vulcanization systems to form stable carbon-carbon cross-linking bonds, enabling the rubber to maintain good elasticity and anti-aging properties in high-temperature environments above 150°C.
