Ethoxydimethylvinylsilane (MEEOS) is an organosilicon compound that appears as a colorless or light yellow liquid. It has a density of 0.877 g/cm³ and is soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols and ketones.
Vinyldimethylethoxysilane is usually prepared by hydrosilylation. That is, dimethylvinylamine reacts with ethoxysilane chloride to produce MEEOS.

1. Synthetic polymer materials: As a stabilizer and crosslinker, Ethoxydimethylvinylsilane is used to improve the heat resistance, weather resistance and mechanical properties of polymers.
2. Surface modifier: As a surfactant, Ethoxydimethylvinylsilane can be used to improve the water resistance and adhesion of coatings, wallpapers and plastic products.
3. Functional reagent: As an intermediate, Ethoxydimethylvinylsilane can be used to prepare other organosilicon compounds.
