PLGA is a biodegradable functional polymer organic compound formed by random polymerization of lactic acid and glycolic acid. It is usually a white to off-white solid, which can be a solid powder or a crystalline translucent solid.
Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) has poor solubility in water and good solubility in organic solvents, such as chlorinated solvents, tetrahydrofuran, acetone, ethyl acetate, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), etc.
