Its CAS number is 123-42-2, EINECS number is 204-626-7, chemical formula is C₆H₁₂O₂, and molecular weight is 116.16. Its density is 0.938 g/ml at 20°C, melting point is - 42.8°C, boiling point is 166°C (literature value), and flash point is 132 degrees Fahrenheit.

Classification by purity

- Reagent grade: high purity, generally reaching more than 99%, with extremely low impurity content. Mainly used in chemical analysis, scientific research and some fine chemical production processes with strict purity requirements.
