Chemical activity: Contains a double bond and can undergo hydrogenation reduction, borohydride reaction, etc.

【Uses】

Fragrance industry: As an important raw material for synthetic fragrances, it is used to synthesize γ-undecalactone (peach aldehyde), polycyclopentadecalactone, musk ketone, nonanal and nonanol, etc.

Medical field: Used as an antifungal agent to treat fungal infections of the skin and mucous membranes, such as tinea capitis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis, and fungal vaginitis. Undecylenic acid has the effect of inhibiting fungal reproduction, so it is used as a disinfectant and antiseptic for the treatment of fungal skin infections such as tinea pedis, tinea capitis and tinea cruris, as well as fungal vaginitis. Among them, it has the best effect on tinea pedis.

Industrial application: In industry, undecylenic acid can be used to produce lubricants, emulsifiers and surfactants. Due to its unique chemical structure, it provides good lubrication and emulsification properties.

Others: Undecylenic acid also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, may have a protective effect on the cardiovascular system, and can promote cellular immune function and tissue repair ability. Undecylenic acid can also be used to produce products such as 10-undecylenic acid zinc and nylon.
