Application
- Silane coupling agent: 3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane is used for the interface modification of glass fiber and resin. It enhances the bonding strength of composite materials by reacting amino groups with resin and condensing ethoxy groups with hydroxyl groups on the glass surface.
- Surface functionalization: Introducing amino groups on the surface of nanoparticles (such as silica) or metals to provide active sites for subsequent grafting of polymers, immobilization of enzymes or drugs.
- Epoxy resin toughening: As a curing agent or additive, amino groups participate in the epoxy ring-opening reaction to improve the flexibility and impact resistance of the resin, while improving chemical corrosion resistance.
- Biomaterial modification: Grafting amino groups on the surface of medical catheters and implants facilitates covalent coupling of biological molecules such as proteins and peptides, giving the material biocompatibility or targeting functions.
