What is oleyl amine?

Oleyl amine is a colorless to light yellow liquid with a special ammonia smell. It has high solubility and can be dissolved in many organic solvents. It also has good surface activity and can reduce the surface tension of liquids. It can be used to prepare detergents, softeners, lubricants, emulsifiers, foaming agents and other products. Cis-oleyl primary amine can also be used as oilfield oil enhancer, metal rust inhibitor, etc.

• Surfactant raw materials: Oleyl amine is used to synthesize cationic surfactants and is widely used in softeners and antistatic agents.
• Corrosion inhibitor: It is used as a corrosion inhibitor in oil, natural gas and industrial systems to effectively prevent metal corrosion.
