What is Propylene Glycol?
Propylene Glycol, also known as 1,2-Propanediol, is a colorless, tasteless, almost odorless viscous liquid with good hygroscopicity and low toxicity. Its molecular formula is C₃H₈O₂, its relative molecular mass is 76.09, its boiling point is about 188.2°C, its melting point is −59°C, and its density is 1.036 g/cm³ (20°C). It is miscible with water, ethanol and a variety of organic solvents, and has strong polarity and good solubility. PG has low vapor pressure and high thermal stability, is not easy to volatilize in the air, has stable chemical properties, and is often used in systems that need to dissolve polar or water-soluble components.

Uses
Propylene Glycol has many uses:
