As an alicyclic saturated hydrocarbon, its molecular structure consists of six carbon atoms forming a ring, with each carbon atom bonded to two hydrogen atoms. It is a colorless liquid with a characteristic odor. It is miscible with anhydrous ethanol, methanol, benzene, ether, and acetone at temperatures above 57°C, while being insoluble in water.
