Butyl glycol, an organic compound, is a colorless transparent liquid, soluble in water, acetone, benzene, ether, methanol, carbon tetrachloride and other organic solvents and mineral oil, mainly used as paint, especially nitro spray paint, quick-drying paint, varnish, enamel and paint striper with high boiling point solvent. Also used as adhesive non-active diluent, metal detergent, paint remover, fiber wetting agent, pesticide dispersant, drug extractant, resin plasticizer.Ethylene glycol butyl ether is one of the important derivatives of ethylene oxide (EO), which is a green solvent and colorless liquid.
