Uses

• Polyurethane field: Diethyl Toluene Diamine is a highly active polyurethane curing agent that can react quickly with isocyanate groups to crosslink and cure polyurethane prepolymers. Compared with traditional curing agents, it can perform curing reactions at lower temperatures, shorten curing time, and improve production efficiency. It can also adjust the crosslinking density and molecular structure of polyurethane, thereby improving the heat resistance, water resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance of polyurethane materials.
• Epoxy resin field: DETDA can be used as a curing agent for epoxy resins, and undergoes a ring-opening addition reaction with the epoxy groups in epoxy resins to form a cured product with a three-dimensional network structure. It can also give epoxy resin cured products a higher glass transition temperature and thermal stability, so that they can still maintain good performance under high temperature environments. At the same time, it can also improve the flexibility and impact resistance of epoxy resin and expand its application range.
• As an organic synthesis intermediate: The amino and aromatic ring structures in the DETDA molecule make it highly reactive and can undergo a variety of chemical reactions for the synthesis of other organic compounds.
• Application in fuel additives: In some fuel additives, DETDA can be used as a detergent and antioxidant, which can effectively prevent the formation of carbon deposits inside the engine, improve the combustion efficiency of the fuel, and reduce exhaust emissions, thereby improving the performance and fuel economy of the engine.
