- Polyester fiber and resin: Ethylene Glycol is the main raw material for making polyester fiber and is widely used in the textile industry. In addition, it is also used to make polyester resin, unsaturated polyester resin and 1730 polyester paint.
- Plasticizers and surfactants: MEG is used to make plasticizers and surfactants, which are used in plastics, coatings, cosmetics and detergents.
- Antifreeze: EG is often used as an antifreeze, especially in automobile cooling systems, which can effectively prevent liquids from freezing at low temperatures.
