What is Di(hydrogenated tallow) methyl amine?

Di(hydrogenated tallow) methyl amine is a typical high molecular weight fatty amine, with the appearance of white to light yellow waxy solid powder and a slight amine smell. Its molecule consists of two hydrogenated tallow alkyl chains and a methyl group connected to the nitrogen atom. It has a hydrophobic structure and good lubricity and softness. The melting point is usually between 40°C and 60°C, with a high boiling point (not easy to volatilize before decomposition). It is insoluble in water, but soluble in most organic solvents, such as alcohols, ketones and hydrocarbons. The compound is relatively stable under neutral or alkaline conditions, but it is easy to react with acid in the presence of strong acid to form quaternary ammonium salts. Due to its long-chain alkyl structure, it has good surface activity and cationicity, and is widely used in emulsification, antistatic and lipophilic-hydrophilic balance regulation.

4. In the rubber and plastics industry, it acts as a promoter or antistatic agent to optimize processing performance and product surface properties.
5. Participate in the synthesis of mild surfactants in cosmetics, providing thickening and conditioning functions for skin care products or toiletries.
