4,4'-Diaminodiphenylamine, referred to as DADPA, has a chemical name of N1-(4-Aminophenyl)benzene-1,4-diamine, a molecular formula of C₁₂H₁₃N₃, and a molecular weight of 199.25.
N1-(4-Aminophenyl)benzene-1,4-diamine usually appears as a white to light yellow crystalline powder, which is easily oxidized to brown in the air. It is slightly soluble in water, easily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, and dimethylformamide (DMF), and can be dissolved in acid solutions to form salts.

Uses:
- As a dye intermediate, N1-(4-Aminophenyl)benzene-1,4-diamine is used to synthesize azo dyes, sulfur dyes, etc., and is used for fabric dyeing in the textile printing and dyeing industry.
- DADPA can be used to prepare antioxidants or stabilizers for polymer materials to improve the aging resistance of polymers.
- In the pharmaceutical field, DADPA is used as a chemical reagent to participate in the synthesis reaction of certain drug intermediates.
