3-(Diethoxymethylsilyl)propyl Methacrylate is an organic silicon compound. It is a colorless to light yellow liquid. The relative density is 0.96 g/cm3. The flash point is 116℃. It is soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols, ethers and ketones, and slightly soluble in water. It slowly hydrolyzes in a humid environment or in water to form silanol (Si-OH), which further condenses to form a Si-O-Si network structure. The hydrolysis rate is affected by the pH value, and the reaction is accelerated under strong acid or strong base conditions. It is relatively stable to heat, but it should be avoided from long-term exposure to high temperatures.
