Pesticide field: Diisopropyl malonate is an intermediate for the fungicide isoprothiolane (the correct name for the fungicide for controlling rice blast, instead of "rice blast" which is not accurate). It is used in agricultural production to synthesize related pesticides for preventing and controlling pests and diseases.

Pharmaceutical field: It is an important pharmaceutical intermediate and can be used to synthesize drugs such as Malotilate (the correct spelling of the drug name).

Organic synthesis field: It can be used to synthesize organic compounds such as 3-substituted coumarins, 2-carbonyl isopropoxy-3-hydroxyquinoxaline di-N-oxide.

 

Preparation method
