Miltefosine is an organic compound commonly known as Mifepristone. It is a single medication also known as an abortion pill or pregnancy termination pill.
The primary use of miltefosine is for the medical termination of early pregnancy (within 49 days). It works by binding to the progesterone receptor and inhibiting the activity of progesterone, which leads to shedding of the uterine lining and cessation of fetal development. It is also used to treat uterine fibroids, endometriosis and other gynecological conditions.
