Midostaurin (PKC412) is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that can inhibit the activity of type III receptor tyrosinase encoded by the FLT3 gene, induce cell cycle arrest, and have apoptotic effects on AML primitive cells with mutant FLT3, wild-type FLT3, and expressing mutant FLT3 receptors.
