Trimanganese Tetraoxide is an oxide with the formula Mn3O4. It is a black square crystal, which is crystallized by burning. It belongs to spinel class, in which divalent and trivalent manganese ions are distributed in two different lattice positions. It is an important industrial raw material.

Ceramics and Pigments: Due to its stability and color properties, it is a key ingredient in the production of ceramics and a pigment in coatings.

 

Catalysis : Mn3O4 is used as a catalyst in the manufacture of allyl alcohols and other chemical processes.

 

Glass Manufacturing: It is used in the production of colored glass and in textile printing.

 

Additives and Fertilizers: Added to animal feed and fertilizers as micronutrients to promote growth and health

 

Analytical Chemistry :The compound is used as a reagent in analytical processes, especially in reactions involving acids and reduction-oxidation chemistry.
