Octadecylamine (CAS 124-30-1) is a long-chain alkylamine with unique physical and chemical properties. 1. Surfactant Production
Octadecylamine powder is a key raw material for manufacturing cationic surfactants. Through chemical reactions with acids or other substances, it can be converted into surfactants used in fabric softeners, hair conditioners, and detergents. 3. Lubricant and Plastic Additive
In lubricants, octadecylamine can improve the lubricating effect by enhancing the adhesion of the lubricant to metal surfaces, reducing friction and wear between mechanical parts. In the plastic industry, it is used as a lubricant and release agent, which helps improve the processing performance of plastics and prevents them from sticking to molds during molding.
4. Other Applications
In the mining industry, Stearylamine acts as a flotation agent to separate valuable minerals from ore. In the paper industry, it is used as a sizing agent to improve the water resistance of paper.
