Fenuron is an organic compound with a CAS number of 101-42-8, an EINECS number of 202-941-4, a chemical formula of C₉H₁₂N₂O, and a molecular weight of 164.2. Its density is about 1.1062 (roughly estimated), its melting point is between 131-133°C, its boiling point is about 291.67°C (roughly estimated), and its flash point is 2°C. At 25°C, its water solubility is 2.40 g/L, and its vapor pressure at 60°C is 0.002 Pa. It is a solid crystalline substance, white crystals at room temperature, with a special smell. The storage conditions are sealed and dry storage at room temperature. It can be obtained by the reaction of phenyl isonitrile and dimethylamine.

- Material science: In the synthesis of certain polymer materials, it can be used as an additive or reaction intermediate to affect the properties of polymer materials, such as improving the heat resistance and mechanical properties of the materials. In addition, in the field of 3D printing, it can be used as a thermal initiator to initiate the polymerization reaction of specific materials and is used to manufacture 3D printing materials with specific properties.
