  • Solubility: Sparingly soluble in water (solubility only about 19 mg/L at 20°C), readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, benzene, etc. It is a typical non-polar solvent.
  • P-xylene density and volatility: Liquid density is lower than water (approximately 0.861 g/cm³ at 20°C). Vapor density is greater than air (relative density approximately 3.66, air = 1). After leakage, vapors readily accumulate near the ground or in low-lying areas, increasing the risk of fire or explosion.
