Crizotinib (CAS 877399-52-5) is an oral small-molecule targeted drug. It appears as a white to off-white crystalline powder with a molecular formula of C₂₁H₂₂Cl₂FN₅O. It has a melting point of about 210-214°C and is slightly soluble in water but dissolves well in organic solvents like dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). 1. Treating Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)
Crizotinib is primarily used to treat NSCLC, especially cases where the cancer cells have specific genetic mutations. It targets and inhibits the activity of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), a protein that, when mutated, can cause uncontrolled cell growth in NSCLC. By blocking ALK, it stops cancer cells from multiplying, slowing tumor growth and shrinking existing tumors. It is approved for patients with ALK-positive NSCLC, identified through genetic testing.
2. Other ALK-Positive Cancers

3. ROS1-Positive Cancers
