Its density at 25°C is 1.059 g/mL, the melting point is 80°C, the boiling point is 65°C, and the flash point is 60°F. At 20°C, the refractive index of the sodium light D line is 1.43. The storage condition is to store below 30°C, and the substance is sensitive to air.

Benzyltrimethylammonium Hydroxide has certain hazards:
- Corrosiveness: It is highly alkaline and has strong irritation and corrosive effects on the skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Contact with the skin may cause burns, redness, pain, blisters and other symptoms; splashing into the eyes may cause serious eye damage and may even cause blindness.
- Toxicity: Inhalation of its volatile gas may cause respiratory symptoms such as coughing, difficulty breathing, and asthma, and in severe cases may cause pulmonary edema. If ingested by mistake, it will cause serious corrosion to the digestive tract, and symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and even life-threatening.
The following matters should be noted when using:

- Operating environment: Use in a well-ventilated environment, preferably in a fume hood to avoid the accumulation of volatile gases in the air and reduce the risk of inhalation.
- Storage method: It should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from fire and flammable materials. The storage container should be well sealed to prevent leakage.
- Emergency treatment: In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and then seek medical attention; in case of eye contact, rinse with plenty of water or saline for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention as soon as possible. If inhaled or swallowed by mistake, move to fresh air immediately, keep the respiratory tract open, and seek medical attention immediately.
