Application
Isopropyl acetate is widely used, mainly including:
1. Coatings industry: as a solvent for coatings such as nitrocellulose, alkyd resin, polyurethane, etc., providing good coating gloss and adhesion.
2. Ink manufacturing: as a solvent, it helps dissolve the resin in the ink and improve the printing quality.
3. Flavors and flavors: used in the synthesis of flavors and flavors to give the product a unique smell.
4. Food industry: as a flavoring additive.
5. Pharmaceutical and pesticide industries: as extractants and solvents.
6. Industrial solvents: as dehydrating agents, as impregnating agents and lubricants in the petroleum industry, textiles, plastics, and papermaking industries.
7. Recovery of acetic acid: Isopropyl acetate can form an azeotrope with water and is used in acetic acid recovery devices in PTA, acetate fiber, vinylon and other industries.
