Uses

• Production of other acrylate polymers: Methyl acetoacetate can be copolymerized with other acrylate monomers to prepare various polymers with excellent properties, which are used in coatings, adhesives, textile auxiliaries, etc.
• Preparation of special coatings: It is used to prepare coatings with special properties, such as light-curing coatings, powder coatings, etc. In light-curing coatings, MAA participates in the polymerization reaction, so that the coating can be quickly cured under ultraviolet light to form a hard and wear-resistant coating.
• Preparation of pressure-sensitive adhesives: MAA is one of the important raw materials for the preparation of pressure-sensitive adhesives. By copolymerizing with other monomers, the viscosity, cohesive strength and weather resistance of pressure-sensitive adhesives can be adjusted, making them widely used in packaging, labels, tapes and other fields.
• Drug sustained-release carriers: As a component of drug sustained-release carriers, MAA can form polymer materials with specific structures and properties through polymerization reactions, realize the slow release of drugs, prolong the action time of drugs, and improve the efficacy of drugs.
• Plastic modification: As a plastic modifier, MAA can react with the plastic matrix to introduce polar groups, increase the surface energy and compatibility of the plastic, and thus improve the composite performance of the plastic with other materials.
