Polymethylene Polyphenyl Polyisocyanate, also known as MDI, is an organic compound. It is a white to light yellow liquid with a pungent odor and is not easily volatile at room temperature. Its density is 1.2 g/cm3 and its ignition point is 218°C. Polymethylene Polyphenyl Polyisocyanate is a mixture of polyisocyanates with different functional groups, usually diisocyanates account for 50% of the total mixture, and the rest are oligoisocyanates with more than three functional groups.
