At room temperature, Sodium cumene sulfonate is a colorless to light yellow liquid with a mild odor. At low temperatures, white flaky crystals will precipitate. They are slightly soluble in DMSO.
Sodium cumene sulfonate has good surface activity and is a non-ionic surfactant with good permeability and wettability. It can stabilize emulsions and suspensions as well as improve the dispersibility and stability of pharmaceuticals and chemical products.
