Uses:
Flame retardant materials
2-Butyl-2-ethylpropane-1,3-diol, as a key intermediate of brominated epoxy resin flame retardant, can improve the thermal stability and flame retardant properties of materials and is widely used in electronic appliances, architectural coatings and other fields.
By introducing bromine-containing groups, the flame retardant efficiency of materials can be enhanced while maintaining good mechanical properties and processability.
Organic synthesis intermediates
It is used to prepare esters, ethers and other functional compounds, such as reacting with acrylic acid to form diacrylates, which are used as active diluents for photocurable coatings or adhesives.
