What is N-methyl-N-octyldecylamine?

N-methyl-N-octyldecylamine, also known as Di(octyl-decyl) Methyl Amine, is an organic compound. It is a colorless liquid with an ammoniacal odor of amines. It is soluble in ethanol, ether and dichloromethane and insoluble in water. It has a pungent, fumigant and corrosive taste and is irritating to the skin and eyes. It is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor. Di(octyl-decyl) Methyl Amine is soluble in ethanol and ether and is soluble in water to a limited extent. The substance is widely used in the fields of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, pesticides and coatings, and can be used as a solvent, surfactant and rust inhibitor, etc.
