Uses of Pharmaceutical Clofazimine CAS:83-07-8
1. Used to determine alcohols, phenols, amines and their homologues. Chromatographic determination of alkylphenols.
2. Used as a colorimetric agent for the spectrophotometric determination of phenols, alcohols and amines. Also used as a reagent for the polarographic determination of phenolic compounds.
4-Aminoantipyrine is commonly used as an anti-asthmatic drug to relieve asthma symptoms by dilating bronchial smooth muscle. It acts as a β2-adrenergic receptor agonist, stimulates adrenergic receptors, promotes relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle, and thus reduces bronchospasm and inflammatory response.
4-Aminoantipyrine can be prepared by the reaction of maleic phenol with α, α'-diaminocotyledonine. The reaction requires the presence of a solvent and a catalyst.
