The compound corresponding to CAS 1318-02-1 is Zeolite, a natural or synthetic porous aluminosilicate mineral. Its chemical composition is generally expressed as Mₓ[(AlO₂)ₓ(SiO₂)ᵧ]·nH₂O (where M represents metal cations such as Na⁺, K⁺, Ca²⁺), featuring a three-dimensional porous crystal structure that imparts ion exchange, adsorption separation, and catalytic properties.

Zeolite appears as white to light yellow powder or granules with a density of 1.9–2.3 g/cm³. It is insoluble in water but heat-resistant, releasing crystalline water and producing a foaming effect when calcined. Its porous structure enables selective adsorption of molecules in gases and liquids, while ion exchange allows calcium and magnesium removal for water softening. Mordenite and β-Zeolite are utilized for aromatic alkylation (e.g., benzene to cumene), hydrocracking, and waste gas treatment, including nitrogen-oxygen separation via adsorption.
