Uses & Preparation
Sodium 2,2'-methylenebis(4,6-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphate is a phosphate ester compound.
Uses:
It is mainly used as a flame retardant for polymers. It can effectively reduce the burning performance of polymer materials and improve their flame retardant properties, thus protecting polymer products from fire.
This product is a polymer that is used in the production of plastics, paper, and paints. It is also used as a thickening agent, emulsifier, or stabilizer in foods.
Method of Preparation:
The preparation of Sodium 2,2'-methylene-bis-(4,6-di-tert-butylphenyl)phosphate is generally obtained by reacting diphenyl ketone with tributyl phosphate. In the reaction process, diphenyl ketone and tributyl phosphate are first mixed together and heated, followed by gradual addition of sodium chloride solution to neutralize to obtain Sodium 2,2'-methylene-bis-(4,6-di-tert-butylphenyl)phosphate.
