Levofloxacin Hydrochloride is (± ) -9 -fluoro-2,3-dihydro-3-methyl-10-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-7-oxo-7H-pyrido[1 ,2,3-de]-1,4-benzoxazine-6-carboxylic acid. Containing not less than 97.5% of C18H20FN304 calculated as dry product.

Levofloxacin Hydrochloride is a third-generation quinolone synthetic antibacterial drug with the advantages of wide antibacterial spectrum, strong antibacterial activity, good bioavailability, safety and effectiveness, low toxicity and no drug resistance. It has good antimicrobial effect on a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and also has certain antimicrobial effect on anaerobic bacteria. It is used for respiratory infections, intestinal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary system infections caused by sensitive bacteria.
Levofloxacin Hydrochloride is an antibiotic that belongs to the class of fluoroquinolones. It has broad-spectrum activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including mycoplasma, chlamydia, and Legionella species. Levofloxacin is a prodrug that is metabolized by esterases in the blood to its active form, levofloxacin. Injection solutions containing levofloxacin are employed in the treatment of infectious diseases, including pneumonia and skin infections.  Levofloxacin does not affect cardiac function or cause toxicity at doses up to 2000 mg/kg. Additionally, levofloxacin has been shown to be safe for use in infants with a clinically significant level of benzalkonium chloride (BZK) allergy when administered intravenously.
