Products Description
What is O/P Toluene Sulfonamide?
O/P Toluene Sulfonamide is a stable compound that is not easily decomposed or hydrolyzed. It has a certain electrophilicity and can undergo substitution reactions with nucleophilic reagents to generate corresponding substitution products. It can be reduced to p-toluenesulfonic acid by hydrogen. In some organic synthesis reactions, OPTSA can react with some nucleophilic reagents to form new compounds after the amide group leaves.

Application
- Used in plastics and rubber industries, O/P Toluene Sulfonamide can be used as a plasticizer or processing aid to improve material flexibility and mechanical strength.
- Used as a curing agent or cross-linking aid in coatings and adhesives to improve the hardness and chemical resistance of the paint film.
- As a pharmaceutical and pesticide intermediate, OPTSA is used to synthesize sulfonamide drugs, herbicides and insecticides.
- Used in organic synthesis reactions, as a sulfonylating agent or stabilizer to participate in the preparation of special chemicals.
Safety Information
- Toxicity: O/P Toluene Sulfonamide may be toxic to humans at certain doses. It may cause damage to the lungs, kidneys and central nervous system.
- Contact: Avoid prolonged contact with OPTSA. If accidentally exposed to the compound, immediately rinse contaminated skin or eyes with water.
- Inhalation: Avoid inhaling vapor or dust of OPTSA.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from ignition sources and flammable materials.
