What is Sodium Formate?

Sodium Formate is a white crystalline powder with a slight smell of formic acid. It is deliquescent. It is soluble in about 11 3 parts of water and glycerol, and slightly soluble in ethanol. Its aqueous solution is neutral with a pH value of about 7. Its chemical formula is CH₃NaO₂.
