Coatings: 2,4,6-Trimethylpyridine is used to make thermosetting acrylic coatings, light-curing acrylic coatings and photosensitive coatings.
Adhesives: 2,4,6-Trimethylpyridine is copolymerized with vinyl monomers to improve bonding strength.
Textile treatment agents: 2,4,6-Trimethylpyridine can improve the water resistance, solvent resistance, wrinkle resistance and waterproofness of fibers.
Paper processing: 2,4,6-Trimethylpyridine is used to prepare acrylic emulsions for coatings to improve their water resistance and strength.
