Uses:

As a monomer of the COF-42 covalent organic framework, 2,5-diethoxybenzene-1,4-dicarbohydrazide reacts with 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxaldehyde through Schiff base to form a porous network structure, which can be used in gas adsorption, catalysis or separation. Its ethoxy substituent enhances the solubility of the monomer in organic solvents, facilitating solution processing and film preparation.
