Method of Preparation:
Tri-O-benzyl-D-glucenose can be prepared by reacting D-glucose with sodium hydroxide and triphenylaldehyde. During the reaction, triphenylaldehyde acts as a protective hydroxyl group.
After the reaction is complete, the protective group can be removed by using an acid or reducing agent to obtain tri-O-benzyl-D-glucenose.
