Uses

Prevention of organ transplant rejection: Everolimus is mainly used to prevent rejection after kidney and heart transplant surgery.
Treatment of advanced renal cancer: Everolimus can be used as a treatment option for patients with advanced renal cancer who have used vascular endothelial growth factor receptor kinase inhibitors such as sunitinib and sorafenib, and its toxic side effects are relatively mild.
Anti-tumor effect: Everolimus interferes with the growth, differentiation and metabolism of cancer cells by inhibiting mTOR kinase activity. In vitro and in vivo studies have shown that it can reduce cell proliferation, angiogenesis and glucose uptake.
